Is your IQ a direct function of your genes ? The better versions of the particular genes you have and the more of those you have the more intelligent are you. Is that correct ? Is there a direct quantitative relation between your genes and and between your IQ ? This is a very though question and I do not think any psychologist and/or any psychiatrist can answer it for now. First of all how reliable is a standardized score of IQ 130. It is possible that Herbert von Karajahn might score under 100 from standardized IQ tests and it does not change the fact that he is a music genius.

The basics of experimental science is that 'Do not change more one variable at a time'. Human intelligence has so many components, so many variables, so many dimensions. I believe reducing these to a ballpoint IQ figure of something and then to correlate to genes is a lazy and crazy science approach.

Musical genes, emotional genes, attention genes, affection genes, lingual genes, theatrical genes sound me more meaningful.

Most of the family members are gifted pianists. Are there common musical genes ?. There we go.
