WASHINGTON (AP) - Swine flu cases in the United States rose above 60 on Tuesday as governments around the world intensified steps to battle the outbreak that has killed scores of people in Mexico. President Barack Obama asked Congress for $1.5 billion to fight the fast-spreading disease.

Swine flu is now widespread across the entire country, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention announced Thursday as federal health officials released Tamiflu for children from the national stockpile and began taking orders from the states for the new swine flu vaccine.

It is good to have tracking mechanisms such as Google Trends, upto date free press such as New York Times as well as good to have Tamiflu. Please keep in mind the Spanish flu killed more people than the World War I (WWI)did.

That is not the case anymore.
