United Colors of Twittermania
Twitter is a social network microblogging service. You can send/receive posts from phone, IM or the web. There is no doubt that the twitter short SMS format created a new "#Literature", where there is no depth in expression and everything is fast and to the point. The "novel language" is definitely not poetic but it is very functional in the real-time world. There are 200++ short SMS based webpages now ,and the number is increasing everyday. The sites are from Germany, Japan, China, France, KoreaPoland, USA, India Hungary, Russia, Bulgary, Indonesia, Rumenia, Portuguese, Turkey, from Mexico and the list goes on.
For the list of these sites please refer to:

Apparently, Twitter is the "brand name" of the new communication concept. The name is as associated with the "at" and "#" signs as the "Google name " is associated with the search engine concept. "at" and "#" are universal currencies across languages cultures and time. Multilingual freaks can use "at" and "#" with words from 4-5 different languages in one message and can easily communicate with their multilingual buddies bypassing cultural boundaries.
Similarly, in one short message one can combine different #concepts easily.
http://www.americangenes.com/s... is another "@shortmessage#" platform in bio-medicine, where the common topics are #genes, #drugs, #genomics and #diseases. We started this site with the aim of crossing lingual and conceptual barriers in genetics, pharmacology and medicine.
