DNA, the blue print of genetic information is both dynamic and universal. Every living organism has DNA and DNA changes form and function in time. Genetic material either accumulates mutations or recombines into novel forms.
WikiPedia is the most convenient information medium of all times. WikiPedia, the open-source platform of information is both dynamic and universal. Information can be fed-in, edited and updated universally and constantly.
I believe the open-source approach is the best model to manage and organize ever accumulating genetic information. Research groups from all around the world can upload, edit, update, cross-check DNA information instantly. It is on public domain and can be accessed every time needed.
The formula of COKE could be a trade secret. It is neither universal nor it is time sensitive. COKE has been on markets for decades. However, DNA can not be a trade secret in private hands.
DNA is universal and time sensitive. Genetic information should be translated into immediate cure for public use.
