History Records

In the figure (Google trends "bird flu, swine flue") you see a graphical picture of near history records. If you are interested into bird flu because of the current epidemic of swine flu you get that record in a fraction of a second. This is unbelievable. Written records have never been that organized in the history.

My ex-girlfriend used to organize the records of the Ottoman section of Libriary of Congress. No, not long time ago, it was in 2000. She was doing that with pen and paper because ofthe Arabic script and she asked me for some help with OCR scanning.

Is the year 2000 history ? or the year of avian flu 2005 ?

Mind blowing advancement and I am curious how Google is going to organize the google genes. Are we going to see top 10 genes of the day ? or most deadly genes of all times ?.
