According to worldometer (http://www.worldometers.info/) obesity related global statistics are as the following as of December 16 2009. Number of obeese people is 340,559,939 globally and money spend on obesity related diseases is $160,245,705 in USA today

Among children and adolescents, annual hospital costs related to obesity were $127 million during 1997–1999, up from $35 million during 1979–1981. In 2000, the total cost of obesity in the United States was estimated to be $117 billion.

Chronic diseases are diseases of long duration with slow but through progression. Chronic diseases, as exemplified by heart disease, stroke, cancer, chronic respiratory diseases and diabetes, are by far the leading cause of mortality in the world, representing almost 60% of all deaths.

"Most people think that fat is bad and the more you have the worse it is," said Gökhan Hotamisligil of Harvard School of Public Health. "To a certain extent that may be true, but it's far too simplistic. Rather than being one chemical entity, fats are actually a huge soup of things with hundreds of molecules and many different structures. In the blood, high fatty acids and triglycerides are often considered bad and low levels good, but it's not quite that way. It depends what constitutes this soup rather than how much you have."

The First Thanksgiving was celebrated to express thanks to God and the Native Americans for helping the pilgrims survive the brutal winter. It was the Native Americans teaching the pilgrims to harvest food and help them survive the winter. The first Thanksgiving feast lasted three whole days providing enough celebration food for about 53 pilgrims and 90 Indians.

On the first feast turkey was any type of common food that the pilgrims hunted. The foods in the first feast included, geese, duck, fish, lobster, clams, dried fruit, pumpkin, squash, vegetables and all kinds of.

Fresh news from Turkey. Turkish parliament declared that any genetically modified organism (GMO)can be freely sold in Turkey provided that they are tagged as "GMO". This is not a law (not plan A) but equivalent to law in terms nationwide execution (but plan B). Scarring from the strong public opposition the current AK party can not directly pass such a law.
